FRESNO (KMJ) — We all have it – and we could use it to save someone's life.
With christmas behind us – and new years still to come – blood centers valley wide are crying out for donations due to increased holiday demand.
A specific request has gone out to all O-negative donors – as it can be used on anyone before hospital staff are able to find out their patient's blood type.
There's even an incentive to donate.
"We have free movie tickets for all donors who will come in", explains Chris Sorensen from the Central California Blood Center. "They're redeemable at any Regal, United Artists, or Edward's theatre. But also think about that person in a valley hospital – who maybe isn't well enough to do things with their family or even go out".
