Selma Man Arrested for Threatening to Shoot-up Fresno LGBTQ Nightclub

FRESNO,CA (KMJ) – A 28-year-old man is arrested for threatening to shoot up a Fresno LGBTQ nightclub.

A social media post on June 9th showed a photo of the Pulse Nightclub shooter, who killed 49 people.

The post was threatening to do the same at the Fab Nightclub in the Tower District.

Police Chief Jerry Dyer says Jose Lechuga was arrested on June 13 by his home on the 13,000 block of S. Highland in Selma, and he admitted making threats.

“Lechuga said that he was upset due to social media postings that had been made of his girlfriend’s mother, who had been at the nightclub and had gotten involved in a disturbance,” said Police Chief Dyer.

Dyer said Lechuga told them he didn’t intend to go through with the mass killing that he had threatened in the post.

Police seized thousands of rounds of ammo, and assorted weapons.

Lechuga is in Fresno County Jail for terror threats and a concealed firearm.
