Suspicious Death In Madera Becomes Homicide Investigation

 

 

MADERA, CA (KMJ) – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office says a suspicious death has become a homicide investigation.

Around 7:45 a.m. Friday, the Sheriff’s Office got a call about a possible dead person near an abandoned house in the area of Avenue 9 and Road 22.

Detectives on scene say the victim believed to be in his 20’s or 30’s had visible injuries, and because of the nature of his injuries the case is now a homicide.

 

The Sheriffs Office is running fingerprints to try and determine the victim’s identity.

Detectives are seeking any and all available leads.

 

 

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area of Avenue 9 and Road 22 from Thursday, Jan. 31 on up until the body’s discovery in the morning Feb. 1, 2019 is urged to call the Madera County Sheriff’s Office at 559) 675-77-70.
