FRESNO (KMJ) – Attorneys for the parents of Dylan Noble who was shot in June by Fresno Police were talking to the media at a press conference on Thursday July 7th.

Noble’s family is calling for an outside agency to investigate the deadly shooting of the 19 year old back on June 25th.

Shots were fired at the teen, when Police Chief Jerry Dyer said officers commanded Noble to show his hands when he was stopped in his truck by police, and he didn’t comply and kept his hand hidden.

Officers thought he was reaching for a weapon and fired the fatal shots that ultimately killed the teen.

Noble’s mother Veronica Nelson shook as she told the media that her son was not depressed or suicidal.

“To say that he was suicidal, to say that he was unhappy, if you knew my son, you would know that it’s lies,” said Veronica Nelson, Dylan Noble’s Mother, “We will get justice, we will get justice.”

Attorneys Warren Paboojian and Stuart Chandler are representing the family and are calling for the investigation to expand.

Attorney Stuart Chandler said it seemed that the police department was already done and over with the case, but the lawyers said they want the Fresno Police body camera footage to be officially released, and they want an outside agency to investigate what happened -either the FBI or the State Attorney General.
