FRESNO, CA (KMJ) Fresno County deputies were chasing a wrong-way driver Tuesday evening downtown when their patrol vehicle smashed into a FAX bus.
The suspect vehicle, a white sedan, was traveling north on M Street, near Tuolumne Street. The deputies drove north on M Street to try and make a traffic stop. Once the patrol vehicle reached the next intersection at Stanislaus Street, it crashed into the side of a FAX bus, disabling the patrol car.
Two deputies were hospitalized with minor injuries. Seven passengers on the bus were also sent to the hospital as a precaution.
The wrong way driver sped off from the scene and has not been caught.
