NEW YORK — Two people wearing black are now in police custody after they climbed to the top of the Empire State Building’s transmitter on Wednesday.
They were holding a pro-peace banner at the very top of the spire.
It appeared to read, “When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace.” Which
is a famous quote of the late, Jimi Hendrix.

The building spire is 1,454 feet above the ground.
At about 1 p.m. EST, the climbers were taken into custody by the New York Police Department.
