FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The Fresno Chaffee Zoo has confirmed that its missing bird has been found safe.
Officials reported military macaw “Sarge” had gone missing earlier this week after flying off course and going outside Roeding Park.
The zoo confirmed that the bird was spotted and has since been recovered safely.

Officials want to thank everyone who submitted tips on Sarge’s whereabouts.
Zoo director John Dolin just happened to be on the Ray Appleton Show at noon on Friday with guest host Clint Olivier and KMJ broke the news.
Sarge was returned just before noon Friday in good health and good condition
