FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — An investigation is underway after police say a stabbing victim was found on the Sunnyside High School campus.
Police were called to a campus parking lot on Peach and Kings Canyon just after 6 am Wednesday.
Authorities arrived and found a teenager with a stab wound to the chest.
While the victim was found in the parking lot, police say the stabbing happened on Peach and not on campus.
He was rushed into surgery at Community Regional Medical Center, and police say he is expected to survive.
A 17-year-old suspect was arrested in connection to the stabbing.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Fresno Police Department.
