FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A former substitute teacher and football coach at a Fresno Unified school now faces charges of sexual assault against a minor.
Timothy Lemmons Jr., 29, faces four felony counts, including having sex with a victim under the age of 18.
The Fresno County District Attorney’s office says the alleged crimes took place in February.
Fresno Unified says Lemmons was a substitute teacher and a football coach at McLane High School.
The school district says when allegations arose in March, they were reported, and Lemmons was blocked from taking substitute jobs until he was fired on April 10.
The district attorney’s office filed charges against him in April.
Lemmons has since bonded out and is expected to be arraigned on August 12
