FRESNO, CA; Let the celebration begin! Town Hall’s 90th season opens with an SNL alum and leads a journey through patriotism, space exploration, culinary craft, music, cyber security, animal instincts and ends on a high note with an A-list award winning actor.
Daytime Talks are held at the Saroyan Theater and begin at 10:30 a.m.
Twilight Talks are split between the Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall and Clovis Veterans Memorial District, and begin at 7:00 p.m.
All talks are live streamed and have certified sign language interpreters present.
SEPT 16 SEASON OPENER Twilight Talk (7 p.m.) – What better way to open the 90th season than with laughter? Celebrate Saturday Night Live legend, Colin Quinn. Colin is known for his observational stand-ups on American History and political culture delivered with an edginess.
OCT 14 Celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, with journalist and former CBS news anchor, Norah O’Donnell. Norah will highlight unsung American women throughout history, from her book, We the Women: The Hidden Heroes Who Shaped America.
NOV 18 As the world searches for life beyond earth, we hear from Kobie Boykins, NASA chief engineer. Prepare to be amazed as Kobie presents stunning visuals and the most recent findings from the NASA mission to explore one of Jupiter’s largest moons.
JAN 27 Celebrate the food scene as farm-to-table sustainability, Asian-Calif fusion and world class fine dining with Food Network star and James Beard nominee, Tyler Florence. Tyler will share his latest food trends and career lessons.
FEB 17 Fresno’s very own Benjamin Boone brings to our stage an artistic sense, by celebrating the jazz of a world renown musical genius. Find out why Fresno is so proud of Benjamin’s unique talent, and be treated to a special live performance.
MAR 2 Twilight Talk Hear from retired 4-star General Paul Nakasone, former leader of US Cyber Command while director of the National Security Agency. As a current board member of OpenAI, he will discuss the challenges that innovation presents and why cybersecurity should be thought of as national security.
MAR 17 Celebrate wild truths from the animal world with Lucy Cooke, zoologist and National Geographic explorer. Lucy’s latest research sheds new light on what animal behavior reveals about gender, leadership and dominance.
APR 14 Celebrate a bold actor’s life of talent, tenacity and truth with “A Morning with Christin Baranski.” From Bird Cage to the Gilded Age, on screen and on stage, Christine has risen to true super star status.
