FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Fire crews are on the scene of a three-alarm structure fire in Northwest Fresno.
Fresno Fire says it was reported at about 2 p.m. on Thursday at a strip mall on Ashlan and Blackstone avenues, with black smoke coming from the building’s roof.
The shopping center includes a clothing store, a 7/11, a burger restaurant, a taqueria and a vacant barbershop.
The businesses were evacuated and no one was injured.
The fire was originally reported as a two-alarm fire but it was upgraded to a three-alarm fire as crews continued to extinguish the flames.
A total of 65 firefighters were sent to fight the fire.
It is unknown what caused the fire to start.
Ashlan Avenue is closed in both directions as crews continue to put out hotspots and investigate. It is unknown when it will reopen.
