HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) — A Los Banos woman has been identified in an early morning homicide in Hanford.
Authorities have identified her as 25-year-old Sully Elizabeth CortezNeri.
The shooting happened on Monday after Hanford Police received a call of an argument between a man and a woman, now known as CortezNeri, on Northstar Drive between North 11th Avenue and Aspen Street.
When officers arrived, they found CortezNeri lying on the roadway with at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to Adventist Health, where she was pronounced dead.
This marks the city’s second homicide of the year.
Detectives are trying to determine why CortezNeri was in Hanford and who she might have been with before the shooting.
