PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) — A mother and her two children were killed in a house fire in Porterville early Wednesday morning.
The woman has been identified as 35-year-old Gladis Plumlee, along with her 15-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter.
Officials say the flames broke out at a home near the intersection of Plano Avenue and Harrison Street around 12:30 am.
When fire crews arrived, they found the two-story home engulfed in flames and immediately started searching for the residents.
Plumlee and her children were found inside. All three of them were declared dead at the scene.
Officials say two others were able to escape the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
