FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — The man believed to be connected to a 2018 Fresno County murder has pleaded not guilty.
38-year-old Anthony Yepez was arrested in early September.
Back in 2018, Fresno County sheriff’s deputies were called to a vacant home near Willow and Jensen, where a man looking for scrap metal found a dead body.
That person was later identified as 34-year-old Kang Vang Her, and it was determined he suffered a fatal wound to his head.
Following a year-long investigation, in 2025, authorities received new information tying Yepez to the killing.
On Wednesday, Yepez denied the charges.
His bail remains set at $1 million.
He is scheduled to appear in court again in October.
