LA Unified, Parents Settle Distance Learning Lawsuit

Parents have settled a lawsuit against the Los Angeles Unified School District over distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.  They claimed the program failed to meet state educational standards and disproportionately harmed minority students. The settlement requires LA Unified to offer tutoring services to over 100,000 students, along with teacher training.  The deal must be approved by the court to take effect.
