FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A body is discovered Wednesday by a highway in Merced County
An investigation is underway after the body of a man appearing to be in his late 20’s was found on the side of Highway 165 near Williams Avenue in Hilmar.
According to the Merced County Sheriff’s Deputy Daryl Allen, a passerby found the victim around 1:00 Wednesday afternoon.
“When Deputies arrived out here they found a deceased adult male subject lying here in the road with what appears to be a gunshot wound,” said Deputy Allen.
The Merced County Sheriff’s Office is calling it a possible homicide
The Merced County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a possible homicide in the area of Hwy 165 and Williams Avenue in Hilmar.
