FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A fiery crash involving a big rig in west Fresno County, near Mendota, has left 5 people dead.
The truck driver airlifted was airlifted to the hospital, as State Route 33 was temporarily closed Tuesday morning.
Officer Justin Foreaker tells KMJ News it’s a multi-agency investigation, including the CHP and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
It appears a Mercedes SUV from Hayward ran a stop sign, and was subsequently struck by the big rig.
