FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The State Franchise Tax Board says it’s handed out about $133 million so far, in Earned Income Tax Credit dollars.
That’s a 50 percent increase, compared to the same time in 2016.
Abbreviated CalEITC, it’s a supplement, to the federal Earned Income Tax Credit.
Those who earn less than $14,000 a year may be eligible for the state credit, while those who make below $53,500could qualify for the federal program.
