FRESNO, CA ( KMJ ) – A four month old child died Monday morning in Northwest Fresno in what police believe was an accident.
It was just after 9:30a.m. when Fresno Police received a call of a child not breathing.
Lt. Joe Gomez says it happened at the Apple Creek Apartment Complex, on the 4700 block of Polk Avenue.
“When we arrived we found the baby’s father was performing CPR on the baby girl. Officers took over CPR. She was then rushed to CRMC where the baby died -was pronounced dead.” – Lt Joe Gomez, Fresno Police.
Lt. Gomez says nothing indicates foul play; “It look like what happened it’s possible the child’s father suffocated her by accident while they were sleeping together in the bed.”
No charges have been filed.
