(KMJ) – A failed vehicle stop by Fresno Police turns into a pursuit on Highway 99.
Just before 8 a.m. Sunday, Officers tried to pull over what they considered a suspicious vehicle for a minor traffic violation near Parkway and Belmont. But the driver, identified as Miguel Coronado, instead sped off and lead officers south on the 99 for nearly ten miles.
Officers pursued Coronado until they were able to intentionally cause his vehicle to spin out in the area of Saginaw and Blackstone.
Fresno Police say Miguel Coronado was wanted for multiple domestic violence cases. And he also had warrants out for his arrest for additional domestic violence charges and unrelated parole violation.
Miguel Coronado was booked into Fresno County Jail on several felony charges including evading, assault with a deadly weapon and multiple domestic violence charges.
