FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Foreclosure rates are down significantly in the Central Valley, once considered to be ground zero of the housing crisis.

In Fresno, the foreclosure rate declined to .7% in December, according to CoreLogic. That’s approximately half the national rate, although it’s still higher than the California average.

Madera, Merced, Visalia, and Bakersfield have all seen a recovery as well.
