New Ag Department Trade Mission to Southeast Asia

USDA Under Secretary Michael Scuse will lead six state ag department leaders and 21 U.S. agribusiness and organization leaders on a trade mission to Southeast Asia starting next Monday.

Scuse says U.S. ag exports to Southeast Asia have been on the rise due to strong economic growth and increasing demand for high-value products in the region.

With this growth expected to continue, Scuse says Southeast Asia holds significant untapped market potential for U.S. exporters.

He is pleased to travel with a broad cross-section of U.S. ag interests who represent every region of the country and will help showcase the quality, variety and abundance of farm and food products produced for export by the United States.

The goal of the trade mission is to expand export opportunities for U.S. food and ag products in the region.
