FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — With the exception of those who have a personal objection, California students are required to be vaccinated, prior to being enrolled in school.

But there’s no mandate, stating that teachers and other staff members do the same.

Down in Riverside County, a high school employee has come down with the disease, prompting officials to tell 40 students and 24 staff members not show up, until they can prove they’ve been vaccinated or are immune.

The issue of teacher vaccination has come up in the past, and is likely to resurface.
