It's been a deadly holiday weekend in the city of Merced. Police there continue to investigate the shooting death of a teenage boy.
Officers responded to calls of shots fired around tenaya middle school near N and 7th Streets just before 7 o'clock last night. wWen they arrived, they found a teenage boy shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are now trying to piece together what happened.
The boy's name has not been released. And police haven't released any details about possible suspects.
This was the second homicide reported in Merced since Friday and the city's 5th of 2015.
