Surprise, surprise! Joe Biden was suffering from cognitive decline as the 46th president of the United States. Who would’ve known?
Certainly not the mainstream media, as suggested in Jake Tapper‘s new book, “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, It’s Coverup, And His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.”
But we Americans are not stupid. We all saw it with our own eyes.
And yet, we expected Democratic operatives to circle the wagons and to lie about Biden‘s condition (just as Republicans would circle around their leader).
In a healthy media environment, we’d at least expect the media to refute these lies.
But they were both gaslighting us, of course, because we saw with our own eyes that Biden was shaking hands with invisible people and drifting into the wilderness after a press conference concluded.
We had reports from lawmakers who told us that Biden was unaware that his own administration had agreed to stop shipping natural gas to our European allies, thereby allowing Russia to satisfy their energy needs.
Now we have just about every Democrat in Washington and the media, scrambling to say that they were duped by Biden‘s insiders.
This is a crock!
As noted above, the big scandal here is not that the Democrats were less than truthful about it. We almost expect it of a political party to try to protect its front runner.
The scandal here is that the legacy media deliberately played along.
That’s why it’s so laughable that CNN’s Tapper is now trying to claim that he was duped by Democratic insiders.
No Jake, you weren’t duped. You saw like the rest of us that Biden was far less than up to par. Yet, you seemingly decided to play along with the Democrats to obfuscate the issue.
Was it because not doing so might be helpful to then-candidate Donald Trump?
Conservatives have long complained about a liberal bias in the media.
This writer detailed how the media changed its tune on me when I left the Democratic Party and became a Republican. (See: “Bias in the Media – How the Media Switched Against Me After I Switched Parties.”)
Most of the legacy media newsrooms are comprised of Democrats and/or liberals.
A Syracuse University study showed that less than 4% of all journalists define themselves as Republican.
Studies show that 96% of donations from the press corp. went to Democrat Hillary Clinton over Republican Donald Trump.
A whistleblower within National Public Radio uncovered that of the 87 members of their editorial board, not a single member was a Republican.
We also see the revolving door between Democrats and the media. Just look to George Stephanopoulos, the Clinton operative becoming one of the heads of ABC’s news division.
Or how about Jim Sciutto over at CNN who was a former Obama embassy appointee.
Or Chuck Todd, a former worker on the presidential campaign of Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin, who got to run NBC’s “Meet the Press” for over a decade?
Ruth Marcus, who has headed The Washington Post Editorial Board, is married to the Obama administration former FTC chairman.
Johnathan Allen went from working with Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schulz, D-Fla., to Politico and then NBC.
The brother of former Obama operative Ben Rhodes ran CBS News for over a decade.
And Tapper himself started off as a Democratic staffer.
This is no coincidence.
The legacy media is so stacked with left wingers that they are naturally going to hire people who believe ideologically as they do to fill slots within their newsrooms.
Conservatives long complained about this, but Jake Tapper is inadvertently helping to blow the lid off the collusion that has existed for decades between Democrats and the mainstream media.
In writing this book, had to know that we would flash-back with the video of him chastising Republicans who appeared on his show warning that Biden was deteriorating mentally.
He must have seen it as well.
Was he covering up for his Democratic friend. Only now that the Democratic president is out of office and no longer has any power does Tapper come forward to say the emperor had no clothes.
Sorry Jake, that’s not bravery.
Far from it. Bravery would have entailed you talking about this forthrightly while Biden was still in power.
