FRESNO (KMJ) — The Rough Fire now stands more than 110,134 acres burnt and only 29% contained. That containment figure is down from yesterday.
More than 2,000 firefighters are working the blaze, and the hot dry weather is proving to be an issue.
Unfortunately, the National Weather Service say that’s going to continue for at least this week.
“We’ve got probably the hottest days coming up”, says meteorologist Jim Bagnall. “In the 103, 104, range and then cooling towards the latter part of the week. By Saturday we’re in the low 100s. 100 or 102
Evacuation warnings are in place for the Dunlap, Pinehurst and Miramonte areas. But Fresno County Sheriff’s Department are eager to emphasize it’s just a warning to let people living in those areas know they might have to leave if the fire gets worse.

Additionally, Highway 180 at Dunlap Road is also closed to facilitate the extinguishing effort.
