(KMJ) The race for California’s 22nd Congressional District is attracting some big names to the South Valley.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) will join incumbent Rep. David Valadao for a “Get Out the Vote” rally Wednesday afternoon in Bakersfield.
Meanwhile, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) will hold a “Fighting the Oligarchy” rally at Bakersfield High on Sunday, featuring democratic challenger Randy Villegas.
The Valadao-Villegas matchup is viewed as critical to determining control of the U.S. House during the final two years of President Trump’s term.
