YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (KFSN) — The “Dome Fire,” which broke out Tuesday morning in Yosemite National Park, has grown rapidly and forced the closure of part of the park.
The fire has burned 1,177 acres with no containment as of Wednesday afternoon.
The flames are burning about a quarter mile north of Chilnualna Falls, with smoke visible from Wawona Road.
Trails are closed in the area as the fire travels upslope.
