Nine suspects were arrested over the weekend in Clovis during 2-day undercover operation targeting human traffickers and child predators.
Clovis Police conducted this operation on
October 16 and 17, 2026, with the assistance of the California Department of Justice and Breaking the Chains, a local non-profit organization caring for victims of human trafficking.
Seven of the nine suspects were arrested without incident at various locations in Clovis.
One suspect failed to pull over, and officers pursued him to Shields and Armstrong where a collision took place involving five vehicles.
Three adults complained of pain and received medical care on scene, and an infant was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
The suspect ran from the collision but was taken into custody a short distance away by Clovis Police.
The Fresno Police Department investigated the collision due to the location in their jurisdiction. Another suspect also evaded officers and is currently wanted.
