FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The Big Fresno Fair is responding to online speculation about potential Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity at the fairgrounds, saying it has not confirmed any ICE sightings and has no information about planned enforcement operations.
In a statement, Big Fresno Fair spokesperson German Amezcua said misinformation circulating online has fueled concern in the community.
“Let us be clear: There have been no confirmed sightings of ICE at The Big Fresno Fair, and we have received no information regarding any planned federal immigration enforcement activity at the Fair. Unfortunately, false information and AI-generated images circulating online are creating unnecessary fear and confusion in our community,” Amezcua said.
Fair officials said they are continuing to work with safety partners, including Fresno Police, to help provide a safe and welcoming environment for fairgoers.
The Big Fresno Fair runs through October 18 and is open until 11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
