MERCED, CA (KMJ) A traffic stop in Merced County has led to a major cocaine seizure.
The California Highway Patrol says a Central Division K-9 officer pulled over a 2025 Honda CR-V on August 12 and noticed signs of possible criminal activity.
A search of the vehicle uncovered about 30 pounds of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $817-thousand dollars.
The driver was arrested and booked on charges including possession of cocaine for sale and transportation of cocaine across non-contiguous counties.
The Merced Area Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team is now leading the investigation.
