FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The man connected to the home where a missing Fresno woman was found dead has been arrested.
Records show that a house on Grove Avenue is owned by Jeffrey Vernon Michaels, who family members say is the ex-boyfriend of 30-year-old Tatyana McIntyre.
McIntyre’s body was found in the home on Thursday after she had been reported missing since Tuesday.

According to Riley’s sister, Alizabeth Lopez, Riley leaves behind seven children, including two she shared with Michaels.
Family members said Riley had gone to visit their children at Michaels’ home on the day she disappeared.
On Tuesday night, family members said they used GPS to locate Riley’s car in an orchard near McKinley and Academy avenues.
Records show that Michaels was arrested at 11 pm Thursday and officially booked into the Fresno County Jail for murder early Friday morning.
Fresno Police Chief Mindy Casto gave an update on the investigation at 11 am Friday.
She said it all started on August 4 when McIntyre’s ex-husband couldn’t get in touch with her after being notified that her daughter wasn’t picked up from school.
Her last known location was at a house on Grove and Phillip, owned by Jeffrey Vernon Michaels.
A search warrant was served and detectives found McIntyre’s body in the garage with several lacerations.
Authorities say Michaels initially left Fresno before contacting police and turning himself in Thursday evening.
Chief Casto said a motive is currently unknown.
Riley’s family has created a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for funeral expenses.
