FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — A person has died after crashing into a tractor and overturning their vehicle multiple times in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, a tractor was driving west on Manning Avenue near Yuba Avenue along the shoulder when a small sedan also traveling west crashed into the backside of the tractor.
The sedan overturned multiple times before landing on the other side of the road, catching fire.
Officers say that the sedan was traveling over the speed limit when it crashed into the tractor.
When authorities arrived, they found the driver of the sedan, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver has not been identified.
The driver of the tractor suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
