(KMJ) “No trust, no greatness” President Donald Trump said Thursday evening in an address to the nation.
While that charge may not be totally unexpected, #45 & #47 also accused some US reporters and tech companies of conspiring with the CCP.
He, however, did not name names.
“President Trump takes (us) closer than we have even been to the fire. But who will be burned with mid-terms this close? Us or them?” KMJ host Ray Appleton said immediately after the speech.
Trump went on to say “shocking vulnerabilities” related to “hacking, exploitation and foreign interference” were at play in previous elections.
KMJ host Christina Musson responded “These documents raise serious questions. The American people deserve transparency, accountability, and answers.”
“This vital information is for many years been covered up and hidden from you,” Trump said. “The American people are beautiful, our great American people. But that all changes right now,” Trump went on to say.
Trump claimed that China stole the voter registration data of as many as 220 million Americans,
China’s foreign ministry strongly denied the allegations of Chinese meddling in the 2020 presidential election, saying they were “entirely fabricated”.
Trump’s claims are “malicious smears” which have “long been proven to be groundless”, foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian said.
California Governor Gavin Newsom called Trump’s claim of widespread voter fraud “false and misleading”.
First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli fired back at Newsom. “Prove it,” Essayli wrote on X. “Open your voter rolls and let us conduct the audit…What is there to hide?”
