FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is inviting the community on Wednesday evening to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
A candlelight vigil will be held at the Fresno Sheriff’s Memorial to remember deputies who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The inaugural event brings together employees, community members, and families to reflect and pay tribute.
Scheduled speakers include Sheriff John Zanoni, former Sheriff Margaret Mims, former Fresno Mayor Alan Autry, and memorial artist Christopher Slatoff.

The vigil runs from seven to eight-thirty p.m. at the memorial located at the Sheriff’s Area Two Substation on North Armstrong in Fresno.
Organizers say the event is meant to honor service, sacrifice, and keep the memories of fallen deputies alive.
