The San Joaquin Valley Water Resilience Summit is set for May 20th and 21st at Fresno State that will convene state leaders, regional water agencies, policymakers and stakeholders to review recent studies from the California Department of Water Resources.
The summit will also offer discussions about coordinated approaches to water management in the San Joaquin Valley.
According to a Fresno State announcement, this event is being held as the region continues to face multiple water-related challenges, including climate variability, implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, land-use changes, subsidence affecting infrastructure, flood management pressures and community impacts.
Recent state-led studies have examined how these issues interact across water systems.
The San Joaquin Valley Water Resilience Summit is free, but you must register to attend.
