FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Firefighters battled a large fire near Sierra and Blackstone avenues in Northeast Fresno on Monday evening, officials said.
Several vehicles at Clawson Motorsports and a large eucalyptus tree caught fire, threatening the nearby Sierra Meadows Apartments.
Fire crews were able to stop the flames from spreading to the apartment complex.
Fire officials say at least 11 utility vehicles were burned.
The apartments were not damaged and no residents were displaced.
Initially, officials said the fire originated in the apartments but it was later confirmed to have started at the dealership.
Investigators will review surveillance video to determine the cause of the fire.
The cost of the damage is not yet known.
