(KMJ) A new statewide poll shows the race for California governor is wide open.
A survey from the California Democratic Party finds former HHS Director Xavier Becerra and Republican Steve Hilton tied atop the field, each with 18% support.
The poll of 1,200 likely voters was conducted late last week by EVITARUS Research.
Republican Chad Bianco follows with 14%, while progressive billionaire Tom Steyer has 12%. Democrats Katie Porter and Matt Mahan trail in the single digits.
Undecided voters now make up 14% — down sharply from earlier polls — as vote-by-mail ballots for the June 2 primary arrive in mailboxes.
