FRESNO, CA -Two dozen bicyclists are scheduled to make their first visit to the new Fresno Sheriff Memorial.
At approximately 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 2nd, they will visit the Area 2 Substation 1129 N. Armstrong Ave., Fresno, 93727 and honor those who died in the line of duty.
This event, known as “The Long Ride,” is put together by the non-profit organization called Law Enforcement United.
These riders represent a total of 24 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
They will be biking more than a total of 1,000 miles.
The group began pedaling out of San Francisco April 29th.
After visiting Fresno, they will continue to pedal south through the Central Valley -including the Tulare County’s Sheriff’s Office and eventually stop in Los Angeles on May 7th. From there, they will fly east and join hundreds of cyclists, who will then ride into Washington D.C. for National Police Week.
