(KMJ) A Bay Area judge has rejected new innocence claims from convicted killer Scott Peterson.
A San Mateo County judge ruled that testimony suggesting witnesses saw Peterson’s wife, Laci, alive after her 2002 Christmas Eve disappearance is inadmissible.
The court also rejected arguments tying her disappearance to a nearby burglary, agreeing with prosecutors that the break-in happened after Laci Peterson had already vanished.
Peterson was convicted in 2004 of murdering his wife and their unborn son, Conner, following a five‑month trial.
His death sentence was later overturned, and he is now serving life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The Innocence Project team says it will appeal the ruling.
