FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — All suspects are now in custody in connection with recent stabbings at the River Park Shopping Center and near Art Hop in Downtown Fresno.
Fresno Police Chief Mindy Casto made the announcement Monday when discussing an operation about increased patrols amid the spike in violence.
Casto said four people were arrested for stabbings near Art Hop, and two were arrested for the incident at River Park.
A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were stabbed near the Downtown Fresno event when two separate fights broke out. About 200 people were standing around and witnessed the violence.
Shortly after the downtown incident, a 14-year-old boy and two girls, ages 13 and 15, were stabbed in front of the Regal movie theater in River Park.
Police say about 10 teenagers were involved in a fight that led to the stabbing.
A 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were arrested in connection with those stabbings.
