PARLIER, Calif. (KFSN) — KMJ’s News Partner ABC 30 Action News has learned the name of the driver suspected of hitting and killing 15-year-old Juliani Moreno in Parlier on Tuesday.
Jail records show 35-year-old Tiffany Mercado was arrested in Parlier and booked on several charges, including vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
The incident happened around 5:45 pm Tuesday near Mendocino and Parlier avenues.
When police arrived, they found Moreno’s body. He was declared dead at the scene.
Action News was the first to obtain video from Francy’s Bridal Flower Shop of the suspected vehicle crashing into the shop located north of the crash scene on Mendocino and Parlier.
Viewers can see a blue car driving at high speeds crash into the business.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that an arrest was made, but no other details have been released.
Parlier police have asked for assistance with the investigation from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol for the investigation.
