(KMJ) Yamaha Motor Company is pulling up stakes in California after nearly 50 years.
The company says it will move its corporate offices from Cypress, California to Kennesaw, Georgia, beginning in late 2026.
Yamaha says the relocation is part of a broader effort to boost profitability as U.S. tariffs and shifts in the market drive up operating costs.
And it’s the latest example of companies—and many residents—leaving California over the state’s high cost of doing business and proposals like a wealth tax on top earners.
