FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Fresno Police have now released bodycam footage of a shootout between officers and a suspect late last year.
The video was released on YouTube Friday morning.

On December 7, police approached 41-year-old Bradley Nicholson, who they say was acting suspiciously in an alley near West and Clinton avenues.
In the video, you can hear Nicholson saying “let me go” multiple times to officers during a struggle. He then shot at police.
The officer who approached Nicholson and another officer began firing back before the suspect barricaded himself in a nearby carport. Officers pleaded with Nicholson to drop his gun.
He eventually surrendered at the scene after SWAT officers and negotiators arrived.
The officers involved were not hurt, but Deputy Chief Rob Beckwith said one of the bullets hit the ball cap one officer was wearing. The department released a photo showing the damaged hat to illustrate the close call.
Nicholson was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment and was later booked into jail.
This was the 6th officer-involved shooting for the department in 2025.
