MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) — Merced Police have arrested 40-year-old Eric Beavers in connection to the shooting that killed 16-year-old Davarion Granados in Merced back in November.
Officials say that around 8 a.m. on Monday, a search warrant was issued in Merced and Beavers was arrested for Granados’ murder.
The shooting happened at an apartment complex at U and Fourth streets on November 19th.
Granados’ mother, Maria, told Action News that her son was on the phone with his dad and was walking to his apartment after hanging out with friends in another part of the complex.
Davarion died at the scene from his injuries.
The case is now being investigated as possibly gang-related.
