COARSEGOLD, Calif. (KFSN) — A Coarsegold pastor is in custody after deputies say he committed sexual offenses against a teenager.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Joshua David Kemper at his home on Tuesday after a months-long investigation.
The investigation started in July when church officials filed a report.
Deputies say that Kemper was contacting a 15-year-old girl for lewd acts between March and July.
They added that there were multiple incidents at the church, the girl’s home and the pastor’s vehicle.
Detectives also found sexually explicit pictures and videos between the two.
Deputies say Kemper used a VoIP phone number to communicate with the teen, which allows you to make calls over the internet instead of a phone line.
Kemper is facing 7 felony charges.
Anyone who may have been a victim or has more information is asked to contact the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
Listen to the report by KMJ’s Liz Kern.
