CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) — Three businesses near Old Town Clovis were temporarily evacuated as a precaution over a pair of grenades.
Police say they received a call from Halfcocked Gunsmithing & Firearms on Woodworth Avenue and 4th Street just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Staff members told police they believed two grenades brought in by a customer might still be live.
As a precaution, the gun shop and two other businesses were evacuated.
Officers say the Clovis Police Bomb Squad determined both grenades appeared to be live and will be disposing of them safely
No one was hurt and employees of the nearby businesses are being allowed back in.
