MADERA, CA (KMJ) – Deputies in Madera arrest a man for attempted murder after responding to his home.
On September 7, 2025, Madera County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the residence of 44-year-old Emmanuel Chavez for a reported domestic violence call.
He was reportedly covered in blood and refused to allow Deputies inside the home. They eventually forced their way inside and placed Chavez in handcuffs after a brief struggle.
As a result of the investigation, Chavez was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail on the following charges:
• Attempted Murder
• Assault with a Deadly Weapon
• Willful Harm or Injury to a Child
• Negligent Discharge of a Firearm
• Resisting Arrest
Chavez is currently being held on $1,000,000 bail.
