St. Louis outfielder Victor Scott II left Saturday’s game in the sixth inning vs. the Yankees with an apparent left leg injury. Earlier in the game, Scott jammed his foot into the base of the outfield wall attempting to make a leaping catch on Aaron Judge’s third-inning homer.
The Yankees were leading 9-5 in the second game of the teams’ weekend interleague series, and Scott, the No. 9 hitter, went 1-for-2 at the plate with a run and an RBI. He’s batting .223 in 116 games as the Cardinals’ starting center fielder.
