FRESNO, CA (KMJ) Disgraced former Fresno Unified communications chief Nikki Henry might be in line for a major payout, despite her misdeeds.
In a weekend post on its Facebook page, the Fresno Teachers Association publicized the FUSD board’s option to give her a $162,000 lump sum payment and not disclose the reason she resigned.
Henry left her post as Chief Information Officer on July 1 after it was determined that she had used AI to generate fake negative quotes attributed to members of the teacher’s union about newly appointed Superintendent Misty Her.
The FUSD board must vote to approve the severance payout. Trustee Susan Wittrup reportedly said she’s a “no” vote. No other board members have issued a statement on the matter.

Henry eventually fessed up to the “mistake” she made and went on to post on social media that the incident “will not define” her.
